      Straightforward work that pays well

      Pros

      I like my job pretty good. There aren't many surprises, I show up, do my work and go home at 5. Most days are straightforward with little to no issues. Every now and then we'll have a project that throws a few kinks in how we usually do things, but we always handle it well. if you work in steel, you could do a lot worse.

      Cons

      It's hard work and can get repetitive at times, but the pay is good and the people are pretty good too.

      Pros

      The Pro’s are PTC Alliance is showing capability spearheading an internal propaganda campaign which is likely the CEO ordering the HR department to do so.

      Cons

      This is a distressed business with tired equipment and that has been hollowed out by its hedge fund owners who have not a clue as to how to run a steel company. The same can be said for the CEO, who is badly wired mainly to compensate for his own insecurities. I suspect that within a short time there will be more propaganda posted to offset this rating, but take heed all who consider working here and do your due diligence accordingly - this is a company that has been circling the toilet bowl for awhile like a massive dump that will not flush.

      This Company Should be a Doctorial Thesis

      Pros

      New management personnel continuously. The Alliance facility has had 10 safety guys in as many years. Great to have new orientation with management personnel. Good to see minimal effort in hiring diversification, keeps the good o boys alive and kicking. I really enjoy the work environment, never saw the "F" word used so efficiently within management circles. Reminds me of a working environment of the 1940's... sort of like Mad Men, except with steel tubing,

      Cons

      None. Just keep doing what you are doing. You keep OSHA and insurance companies gainfully employed.
