Pros

100% remote position. Decent base salary. Small but profitable company. US based manufacturing. Excellent benefits. Fantastic retirement benefits. Impressive (Roth) 401k match & brokerage investment options.. Newer IN facility (not sure about the CA facility.)

Cons

Mediocre training. Seniority based system, Lack of incentives. PTS Diagnostics was acquired in 2016 for $290 million by Sonicare, a Chinese company, making PTS a wholly-owned subsidiary (alongside Trividia). The shareholder is actively involved in all aspects of PTS & this impacts the company culture significantly. Not for the best in my opinion. I’ve received some truly questionable company newsletters (from sonicare). The 2024 or maybe it was 2025 Valentine's newsletter comes to mind (incredibly chauvinistic & completely inappropriate for a professional environment). HR had a few complaints & a email was sent soon after….Not all concepts translate well.

Pros

Insurance and benefits are great. The people are better. Work/Life balance is fantastic. Management cares, listens, and reacts.

Cons

In my short previous employment in the early 2020's, I interviewed production employees at that time who stated better communication with engineering was needed for things that may affect production, better production training was a pain point too. Additionally, feedback that forecasting for chemical production can be an issue at times with understanding the future weeks and months production needs are. This makes planning and preparation more difficult for production.
