Pros

* You work for a great cause. Helping children with cancer. * Young and young-minded, small staff. Friendly co-workers. Startup environment. * Beautiful, open office in a great location. * Open door policy.

Cons

* High turnover on staff at times. * Could get pretty gossipy between Executive staff at times. * Since it's a non-profit, pay not so optimal, especially for the amount of time spent on creative work.

Pros

Meeting some incredible kids and families fighting cancer.

Cons

Sadly I could write pages on this with specific examples. As a summary I will share that the organization is extremely unprofessional and does not follow non-profit best practices. The COO/Interim CEO Jane Cheung was deceitful, inconsistent, toxic, pitted staff against each other and lacked knowledge in critical areas. The Board of Directors who was overseeing her at the time did not act responsively or value staff feedback or their emotional well being. I was not the only one who felt devalued and treated poorly. Many have left or been laid off due to the organization's financial position. There were multiple pay periods/dates that I was not paid on time.
