      Going downhill over the years

      Pros

      Great manager in the AS team. Small team and friendly team members.

      Cons

      Ever since the founding CEO passed away, they threw away research and QA, then hopped on the bandwagon of pushing out flawed, unfinished products to get into the next "hot" market. Poor vision and nearsightedness in top management. They got sold to ACT and laid off a bunch of people. Barely hanging on the string of Louisiana Dept of Education contract cause of director connections. No more expansion for the future for anybody who works in there.

      Pros

      The workers are smart. The company's technology department focuses on staying modern. In the past we kept our customers happy which made the company a friendly place to work.

      Cons

      In the last few years, the company became top-heavy with management. And the new Managers and Directors are all people that were brought in, few people were promoted from within the company. The executives don't see employees as investments, just tools to be discarded. We treat customers different and lost some work through over-commitment.

      Unorganized, no planning, politics, favoritism, no respect for non-executive employees, no growth opportunities, bonuses are offered only to favorites in secret.
