Pros

-Work directly with owners who have many years of experience with a variety of different projects -Flexibility in schedule, you can basically set your own hours -Low stress work environment, very rarely do you have management breathing down your neck to produce work -Generosity is high, profit sharing and company 401k match are generous -Ability to work directly with clients and agencies even at staff level -Overtime paid for salaried staff for any billable time over 40 hours/week

Cons

- The company feels like a rudderless ship with no vision, it's a company of somewhere around 100 employees that operates as if it were much smaller. The organizational structure is confusing, disorganized, and inefficient - Too much work with one client and not enough emphasis to diversify, work being lost to competitors more often than not - Management will not make difficult decisions, under-performing staff are reassigned to other projects or given different roles without feedback. As far as compensation, under-performing staff are often rewarded the same as those who excel by way of small blanket raises - Compensation is dependent on years of experience rather than results - Ownership does not hold upper management staff accountable for employees who under-perform - No incentive to produce better work; increased roles, responsibilities, workload from outgoing staff, or educational achievements rarely receive recognition or increases in salary - Poor to non-existent communication company wide: the comings and goings of various staff, achievements on projects or by personnel (promotions, completed education) etc. are almost never communicated. Programs and company policies are not well communicated / enforced and vary from office to office - Unprofessional treatment of outgoing staff - Most employees do not receive any type of annual review. Very rarely is any feedback given on job performance unless solicited by the employee. Accomplishments are not recognized and expectations are not clearly defined. Employees that do receive annual reviews have no follow up regarding expectations/accomplishments/feedback from said review, achievements from reviews are not rewarded with compensation - Poor work/life balance: Many staff work over 45-50 hours per week and are generally expected to be available by phone/email at all times even during time off

Pros

Senior Staff all really care about employees as people and are flexible with your personal goals. Padre is really good at accommodating your personal life and schedule outside of work.

Cons

Specializes narrowly in the energy sector, predominantly oil and gas, however, the company has been moving more towards environmental services for renewable energy projects.
