      Turn and Burn

      Pros

      Young employees can get a lot of experience quickly and build their portfolios. Compensation is adequate.

      Cons

      A handful of employees carry nearly all of the load, and the majority barely pull their weight. The teams are kept very lean, so when the stars burn out and leave, productivity really drops. D&I initiatives are non-existent.

      Pros

      PAIGE is trying to revolutionize how pathology is practiced, which could save lives by leading to better cancer diagnoses. We do this using artificial intelligence. I'm proud that I get to talk about the work we do, rather than if I worked at a place like Facebook or Google where my work could be leveraged to data mine people to give them more advertisements or to keep them from leaving the platform. I feel like the work we are doing could really help the world. We get to work on hard problems that matter. Everybody has a great attitude and the company has a lot of potential.

      Cons

      Like most start-ups and tech companies that have opened in the past 20 years, PAIGE has an open office. They do give every employee noise cancelling headphones and the view of Manhattan from the office is spectacular, but it can still be distracting sometimes due to aural or visual noise.

      Little Diversity, Unrealistic Expectations, and no Work Life Balance

      Pros

      The company has a lot of resources being that they are one of the leading drivers in the medical tech space. Employees get a set amount of money to get goodies.

      Cons

      Little to no diversity in the workforce. Prodomintely white men. Unrealistic demands on small teams. The salary compensation was not competitive and almost laughable. No emphasis on employee wellness, manager support, and career development programs.
