Pros
The staff that I hired and the vendors that I got into the stores. They made the job. Sure sometimes vendors and guests got sassy but they made the job what it is. I loved working with them and being able to help people achieve their dreams and goals without going broke opening up brick and mortar stores.
Cons
The Owners of the company. More so one of them than the other. He’s a giant man child who gets mad at the drop of a hat and expects the world to completely shift in order to cater to him. He does not care about associates. He repetitively called one of my best workers the wrong name. WE WEAR NAME TAGS 😅 He also asked me on the sales floor in a booth with guests shopping if that associate was “fucking stupid” because she didn’t know HE wanted us to chase shoplifters outside to retrieve stolen merchandise. Sorry I’m not letting a 17 year old who barely makes $11 an hour get taken or shot over someone stealing soap. Especially when every other retail place I’ve worked at we do not chase or follow someone out to their car. Get a picture if you can. We have cameras and we can contact the vendor. Which is what we would do but that was not good enough for him. Nothing ever was or will be. My next con is the reason I got fired after he went home and “stewed” on how I made him feel; they wanted me to pull every single $100, $50 and $20 from our bank deposits that ya know paid the vendors and employees??? I expressed how I didn’t feel comfortable about it numerous times. No one cared because it’s what HE wanted. I’m sorry don’t you have a credit card to where you can do it yourself?? So that Monday both owners came in as I’m checking out two guests and my associate with me is checking out. He asked me “where’s my money?” To which I play off like haha what money cause I literally have three guests up here and an associate who knows nothing of this. He gets stern with me and says “ you know what I’m talking about” so I match the energy and tell him sternly we do deposits on Thursday’s he can come back then since it’s only Monday. Tuesday morning I come in to open and begin work on the never ending tedious tasks that we’ve been required to do and chief of staff tells me to come to the vendor lounge. Not her personal office or ANYWHERE that’s not in the complete open. The vendor lounge has NO DOOR. So everyone coming in that morning that walked by got to witness her firing me for making a grown man so mad he stewed on it all night and told her to fire me. Couldn’t even do it himself. Absolutely pathetic and the most disgusting and disrespectful display I’ve ever been a part of. I was humiliated and felt so low.
