Pros

Besides the fact that you may be able to socialize with the other interns if ya'll work on the same days. Also it's a paid internship where your making minimum wage....I don't see too many other pro's...

Cons

No clue where to even start with this company. The CEO is HORRIBLE. The internship program is a mess, and they could care less about helping you learn or develop your desired skills. They really only want the internship program for HUBZone compliance purposes.. As an intern you'll be thrown into a ant infested corner, and eveluated weekly on apparence, attendence, and how well you completed a assignment. Funny thing is you'll litterally have to beg for work, and if the CEO doesn't like you, you'll still be given a low grade, which is posted on the wall for everone to see. Not once will upper management come to you to try to help you improve your weekly rating, or give constructive feedback as to what you can do better. Be prepared to receive NO feedback for assignments, and for the CEO not to speak to you if you've done something wrong. He'll litterally walk around like he's making someone mad by not speaking or not offering you a position with his god awful company. The cons are never ending but i'll end by saying if you want to build a career and receive guidance and be respected in your work place, don't come here. Only people who make it here are ones who suck up, and are dumbed down. There are so many unethical business practices going on here I see trouble for them if they don't get it together.

Paradyme Management Response

We agree, “employees make a company”. Our mission to be the company of choice, offering our people purposeful work within a dynamic environment fostering a culture of providing exceptional services to our customers rooted with a commitment to serving the community is something we strive for on a daily basis. The internship program at Paradyme is one we take great pride in. As a small company our interns have a great opportunity to learn from those at all levels of the organization. Some lessons learned may be as basic as acceptable business etiquette and dress code, but even the most basic of these lessons is important in molding future leaders. We have also seen many of our interns graduate to take on exciting new challenges. One of our major goals for the internship program is to convert interns to full time employees as they matriculate into the workforce.

Pros

Important work on a big government contract

Cons

Everything else. It was only until I took my second real job out of college recently that I realize just how bad this company was. Paradyme Management in Greenbelt was my first real job out of college, so it was all I knew. Now, being in a healthy environment at my current workplace -- Paradyme Management Inc. was almost the complete polar opposite of where I happily am now. In retrospect, this company is absolutely terrible. Yes, it is legitimate work with legitimate impact on a REAL government contract. THAT IS ALL. After working for another company in Washington, DC -- I now realize that Paradyme Management doesn't have the slightest idea of how to actually run a company. A company is more than just the work. It is about creating a culture and environment for their employees to operate at the highest level because they enjoy what they are doing and who they are working for. Don't expect to feel appreciated here for anything you do. Don't expect to be able to have real relationships with anyone in the workplace or any supervisor. Don't expect to be able to walk in to this building and enjoy your surroundings. Don't expect to be able to feel like you are heard. Don't expect to have any fun either. None of this is on the employees, there are obviously some jolly individuals anywhere you go in the world. Management just does absolutely nothing to promote a healthy environment; they are blind to that aspect of running an organization. Some people just know how to run a company better than others, it takes a lot more than securing a government contract to really be a great company. Please consider working elsewhere before you sign up for a job here; heed my review. These are not people you will feel comfortable working under -- your diligence will become nonexistent and work will become more bleak/depressing than ever.

Unethical company

Pros

Nothing really everything is a false promise.

Cons

This company really has to learn to operate ethically and not just paint a rosy picture at the beginning and go back on all your promises. I have worked for many companies prior to here and the work ethic is unlike any other I had. Appreciation for a job well done is minimal and there is hardly any leeway when things don't go right. Most importantly the company doesn't recognize that this tactic isn't going to work in the long term and sadly the outlook looks bleak. Many coworkers didn't like the way the higher management handled it but stuck to their jobs due to everybody's personal reasons. There is a huge deal of favoritism to a select few and they hardly do any work and if you can be that person who would just coast along and have your self respect in drain you can join this firm.
