Pros

Work is interesting, but can get repetitive. There are a lot of great people that work at the company and I have made many friends.

Cons

Management is awful, does not care about their employees (with the exception of a few managers)- treats us like children that are easily replaceable, makes for a very unhealthy culture. Installs new rules that must be followed without any input from employees and makes everyone very unhappy and lowers morale.

Good people, bad management

Pros

Good place to begin, or gain mid level chemistry experience.

Cons

Don't expect upward mobility. If you do make it up the chain, expect to lose your job after disagreements with upper level management who don't know chemistry.

New Directions Aren't Always For The Best

Pros

There are a few really fantastic people at Paragon Laboratories who contribute positively to the experience of working there. Additionally, there are monthly birthday treats.

Cons

Paragon has recently departed from the values that many employees found meaningful and inspiring. The company is moving away from partnering with the employees and upholding strong core values of honesty, integrity, and communication. Now, the organization is systematically removing fringe benefits - which is their right, but the real devastating part of the transition is that management disregards the experience and usefulness of employees and now seems to consider workers to be thieves or enemies. It's sad.
