Pros

Some talented individual contributors who genuinely care about their work. A few teams try to foster collaboration despite broader cultural issues.

Cons

Management demonstrates a serious lack of commitment to inclusion, especially when it comes to hiring and supporting people with disabilities such as autism. There appears to be an unwillingness to make even basic accommodations or to consider neurodiverse candidates fairly. The workplace culture is toxic — cliques, favoritism, and subtle (sometimes overt) bullying are common. Employees who think differently or raise concerns are often marginalized rather than supported. Leadership talks about diversity and belonging but rarely backs it up with meaningful action.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We take concerns about workplace culture and inclusion seriously, and what you've described does not reflect the standard we hold ourselves to or the experience we want every team member to have. We want to be direct: leadership was not aware of the specific concerns you've raised, including those related to disability accommodations and the culture issues you describe, because they were not brought to HR's attention through any of our reporting channels. That's on us to fix, not by asking you to come forward publicly, but by making sure every employee knows there's a safe, confidential way to raise concerns and trusts that doing so will lead to real action. We'd genuinely welcome the chance to hear more from you directly, even anonymously, so we can look into what happened and address it. Please reach out confidentially to HR at ppchr@paragonapts.com. We're also reviewing our accommodation and inclusion practices to close any gaps your review has surfaced. We appreciate you taking the time to write this, even though it wasn't an easy review to read. — Paragon Properties Leadership Team

Pros

• The company has strong policies and procedures in place, which can provide a solid framework for those new to property management. • As a smaller company, it USED to offer direct and efficient communication with corporate leadership. • The exposure and responsibility given to site-level staff can be valuable experience for someone looking to grow quickly in the industry

Cons

• The company culture has become extremely toxic in recent years. Leadership fails to address bullying, harassment, and blatant favoritism. • Corporate management is largely absent and disengaged. Regional managers, in particular, contribute little and often shift their responsibilities onto already overburdened site managers. • There’s a clear lack of accountability and support from upper management. A recent regional hire has made matters significantly worse, pretty much ran all the good staff out due to his harassment and pure ignorance. • Turnover is at an all-time high. Most of the experienced staff — both corporate and onsite — have already left, and many who remain are actively looking for new opportunities. • Expect to be constantly stressed, underappreciated, and paid below market standards — all with zero work-life balance. • Recognition is rare, and even exceptional performance is often met with more unrealistic expectations.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We're genuinely sorry to hear how difficult and disheartening your experience has been — especially from someone currently with us. It’s clear from your message that you care deeply about the company and the people in it, which makes your feedback all the more meaningful. The issues you’ve raised — around culture, leadership, harassment, and lack of support — are serious and concerning. No one should feel like they’re in a toxic or unsafe work environment. We recognize that strong policies mean very little if they are not upheld with fairness and consistency. We also hear your concern about leadership accountability and the toll that high turnover and lack of recognition can take on a team. Your feedback has been shared with our leadership, and we are taking it seriously. While change can take time, we know that rebuilding trust starts with listening, owning what needs to improve, and taking visible, meaningful steps forward. We appreciate the honesty and urgency in your message. It’s not lost on us, and we are committed to doing better — not just in words, but in action. — Paragon Properties Leadership Team
