Pros
There were really great people that worked well together and made sure everyone had what they needed to make projects succeed. You never felt alone in something or that questions weren't allowed or encouraged. Money was decent and benefits were very generous. Work was generally website functionality or application focused. There were interesting projects at times, but there was no guarantee you were ever going to get to work on it.
Cons
Post covid the culture shifted. Few people wanted to return to the office. It was more difficult to have a deeper connection even with the online zoom options, etc. Sometimes reviews were not inclusive of all feedback a manager received about you from peers. While the review / promotion process is not performed in a bubble, it didn't always feel like you had a champion in your corner. And no, I don't say this because I was a bad employee, I was promoted while there. There was so much time spent on making sure that "everyone" was included that they would often make the environment feel "unsafe" to those that didn't see everything the company way. In other words, it was feeling more and more liberal and the conservative voice was being buried. Good people are being cut in RIFs etc., and rumored that more are coming. Doesn't feel/sound like it is financially as stable as it used to be.

Cons
sudden layoffs, unsustainable promotion cycle.

Pros
Everyone really is doing their best to grow their peers, teams, and leaders for the betterment of the firm and our clients. It may sometimes be frustrating when we come up short, but you never question anyone's motives. You have license to provide candid feedback on how to make things better.
Cons
We are still struggling through some leadership and cultural transitions and the biggest brunt of that is felt by those trying to complete our thought leadership training to get promoted to Principal and Vice President. There isn't clear guidance and different leaders have differing (and sometimes conflicting) views on how best to support employees through this process.

Pros
There are genuinely great people who work at Pariveda that care about you and want you to succeed.
Cons
The culture was never the same after the pandemic. Instead of adapting to the new world, Pariveda attempted to recreate the glory years. Nobody was inclined to come back into office and budgets were cut on anything social anyways. Several rounds of layoffs and a new CEO later, the company is a shell of what it once was with employees who no longer feel engaged with the mission and culture.

Pros
Semi Technical leadership and partnerships with Microsoft and AWS
Cons
Leadership does not know how to keep, retain, and train Vice Presidents who know how to sell. When they did layoffs this year they laid off all of their top sales people they had put in administrative roles.

Pros
Large pay increases can come quickly if you are a brand new developer. The work is interesting. Lots of great people. Great benefits. Culture of self improvement.
Cons
Woke culture is being pushed on employees by upper management. The evaluation matrix for determining an employee’s promotion/level is extremely ambiguous and open to interpretation so even if you excel in an area or do a job better than someone making 50% more than you there is always a reason to tell you that you are being paid fairly or in other words, put you in your place. A fair number of upper management are out of touch with lower level employees. I recall being in an unpaid meeting where a Vice President gave a pointless presentation about a retreat that the VPs had and how much fun it was. After the meeting I reached out to a coworker and asked if they got anything out of the meeting and they said they felt it was pointless as well. I’d like to reiterate it was an unpaid meeting we were expected to attend. No offense to the good people who work here but this company will never retain top talent because the best talent will feel hindered/frustrated by the promotion process.
