Pros

Unfortunately, there are few redeeming points about this company.

Cons

As long as the US education system churns out young professionals willing to be slaves for inadequate compensation, Park IP will be in business. If you’re considering a job at Park IP, take a moment to reflect on what is important to you in a job. If self-respect, work-life balance, and an opportunity to grow within an organization is your aim, go back to the drawing board and send out ONE more resume, and then send one more each time you consider accepting an invite to interview at this company. If the above doesn’t persuade you, consider just a few more points: Management is elusive, so forget transparency or equitability. Those currently holding their positions have remained in control for so long that “out-of-touch” hardly begins to describe the key employees making decisions at park, especially with regard to operations. Whereas a normal company manages their human resources using incentives, Park IP has—likely to the executives’ joy—implemented a system whereby employees, and especially new employees, work until ungodly hours for fear of being ostracized by their colleagues for not working as long as them--indeed, you wear a scarlet letter for wanting to leave on time. JFK’s famous entreaty went as such: “ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country”. Similarly, and unfortunately, Park entreats its employees to “ask not what your company can do for you—ask how can you serve the company until you’re unhappy.” It’s simple: -Management doesn’t care about you and fosters and STOKES a toxic environment—one that is abusive and petty. -Pay is bad and even the hardest and smartest workers aren’t rewarded or recognized -The current project management system in place was pieced together with popsicle sticks and glue, and is so poorly designed and managed that you will spend most of your day repeating the same tasks to stroke the egos of the people who “designed” the protocol—no one at the company is willing to admit that management, and not the protocol, is what needs fixing or replacing -Free-thinking is not encouraged -Finally, and especially for the younger applicants, if you’re hoping to meet “new and fun” coworkers, look elsewhere. The working hours for most people at the company are so long that by the time everybody is ready to leave and head to the bar you’ll have lost two thirds of your party to fatigue.

If you value a balance between work and life, this is not the place to be.

Pros

Good experience in managing several projects simultaneously. Ensured that each employee was well trained in the policies of the business and continuing education/seminars within the company.

Cons

Work hours were too long, and no compensation for continuously having to work over-time, no benefits provided, work environment/climate felt very tense, favoring of employees because of connections

Pros

- indoor plumbing - restroom facilities on premises - microwave - double-screen PC monitors

Cons

After working here you will lose your ability to make any meaningful contribution toward society. At best, spending any amount of time here will severely hinder your competitiveness in the job market, at worst it will destroy your soul. The toxic work environment has caused many people to develop mental illness and substance abuse issues while working here, very obvious in senior management.
