Pros

We work in San Francisco.

Cons

This is the most unprofessional company. We are constantly preached to about our core values and specifically CARING. Caring does not exist except for a dog and pony show. The Executive Team over Op's and implementing TRID are the most unprofessional childish group constantly backstabbing and trying to one up each other while accomplishing nothing. Very passive aggressive management and Executive Team with the exception of Compliance, Sales and Secondary. Most of us are looking for a new employer.

First – thank you for your feedback. It’s disappointing to read how poor your experience has been, but it is exactly this kind of candor that will make us better. Our accelerated growth over the past 12-18 months came with its challenges, but I hope your experience with us is radically improving. If that’s not the case, I encourage you to use our anonymous “Culture Loop” on our intranet (these are shared each week with Management directly – unfiltered and unvarnished), so we can work collectively to improve. You can also reach out to me (Rick) or to our CEO, Matt, directly. Our values define who we are, how we operate and are what make Parkside special. We don’t want our employees to have the experience you’re having. To that end, I thought you might appreciate actions more than just words. Here are just a few of the activities being put into place now: · Living our values by providing a new leadership course to mid-level managers at Parkside. This will include structured leadership training as well as values-based decision-making and managing. The 6 session course begins in May. · A new project management group dedicated to planning and rollout of corporate initiatives. This team has already significantly changed the way Parkside attacks such projects and is leveraging the learning from the almighty challenge that was TRID. You will see the results of this improved process in the coming months as new projects roll out. · We have several new members of the Management Team. Each of these leaders has a strong personal commitment to our values and has already made great strides to bring increased clarity and cohesion to their teams. Thank you again for being a part of our company and voicing your views

Pros

My department has a good manager and team. If we could function as our own company, we would be great. I get more paid holidays and PTO than any of my previous jobs.

Cons

The worst HR department that I've ever seen. Totally incompetent. Unfortunately you have to deal with them for benefits and other issues. Terrible insurance and benefits also. The IT department is also not much better. It's rare that an issue is dealt with the first time it's reported. And the pay is the lowest I've had in 12 years. No bonus or incentives, just base pay, which is unusual in this industry. First company I've ever worked for that didn't even give a Christmas bonus.

We appreciate the feedback and take it to heart. To respond to a few of your comments: - Regarding the support teams, we went through an accelerated growth period during 2015 expanding from lending only in California to lending across the nation. Some of the infrastructure components were not able to keep up with the growth, and we heard from others at Parkside that we were falling short. Since that time we have staffed up in HR and IT as well as integrated new systems that are geared toward our larger size and will now be able to scale with us as we continue to grow at a more measured pace. - On the issue of benefits, according to others in our industry we understand that our benefits package is quite strong, and we are rolling out bonus plan for all ops departments that tie monthly bonus directly to a performance score. So employees who are meeting or exceeding benchmarks are immediately rewarded. This program has been rolled out to the three largest loan ops departments so far.
