Pros

Kids were sweet, small school meant close classroom community.

Cons

Poorly managed system. No organization, poorly run, ineffective instructional and behavioral systems. High teacher turnover. No support from leadership. HR is even worse; they never return phone calls. High attrition rate. Bullying amongst staff was encouraged. Toxic environment for students and teachers alike. Teachers were not appreciated and were often berated.

Pros

- Schedules follow school year calendar so we had tons of time off - School staff members & students pleasant to work with Fun role if you’re an extrovert

Cons

- Toxic work environment and senior leadership - Zero transparency from leadership who encourage blatant lying/manipulation to prospectives in order to meet quotas - Impossible expectations and workload with very little support from leadership even if you speak up and ask for it - Vicious revolving door of employees quitting, being replaced, and then not not being trained or given background - Very little training or growth opportunities

Pros

Erin my direct manager was amazing! She was supportive, tactful in communication and had actually done the job so her feedback/coaching was authentic. The school I was placed at had a good principal and the community was wonderful.

Cons

The ADA role was unsustainable paid very low and with few benefits. They burn you out and are open about the fact that they see this as a two year position. It makes no sense because you don't see them as an investment. Additionally, the role itself is challenging -- enrolling students in Catholic schools. Building up the position instead of making it disposable is the way build sustainability and leadership. There are very few pathways to growth. This organization is a constant rotating door of people. Incredibly sad because the schools deserve better.
