Pros

I wish I could come up with some, but I'm at a loss...

Cons

Every aspect of the experience is a con. Partnership with Children is, in and of itself, a con. As an organization, Partnership with Children is more concerned with bending over for the Department of Education and keeping their funding than actually providing effective services and treating their employees with dignity and respect. Because of the management, the mission of wanting to provide services to those in need is lost. They are bullies and constantly threaten their employees with termination.

Pros

Some staff are very talented, caring and hardworking; experience working in under-served communities

Cons

Social workers are incredibly under-valued and disrespected; rigid hierarchy of power; no transparency in decision making; the organization is highly reactive and chaotic; no clear vision for the future; the organization chases after funding; extremely unpredictable expectations; upper management is very difficult and can tend to bully and be vengeful toward employees; many people are unfairly terminated; rampant favoritism; unethical practices happening behind the scenes; random and arbitrary paperwork required for social workers...

Pros

worked with great population. some colleagues were very good and friendly. Clinical Supervision was provided.

Cons

Clinical supervision does not clock clinical hours. Site supervisors are competitive and with no remorse, they will throw you under the bus resulting in you getting fired. They are blatantly upfront if they don't like you and if they feel threatened, they will make your life a living workplace hell. Supervisors will invent lies about your work and create scenarios to sabotage you. Upper management is aggressive, intimidating, manipulative and act like bullies, aka they are simply mean people. Clients are seen as nothing more than "numbers" to arrive at a financial gain' its the agencies prime motive. Profits BEFORE people is their motto. There is virtually no support to workers.
