Great Job for an independent worker

Pathways is a positive place to work. The supervisors are supportive and are available to you when you have questions. You have the opportunity to get to know the community and agencies that support people in need. If you are a beginning counselor you get excellent experience learning to work with a vaired clientel. Pathways offers health care benefits.
Cons
The stress of working on your own in the community and going to people's homes that may not want you there is difficult. You can spend a lot of money on gas driving from client to client. Learning the consistently changing rules of medicaid and meeting the demand for updating and reauthorization is frustrating and you don't get paid for the time you put in to fill all of it out.
