Pros

Clean bathrooms, running water, parking.

Cons

I worked there for a number of years. This company is the ugly side of corporate healthcare. There are good and bad companies to work for and this one has become one of the worst. I watched the management style deteriorate over the years to a dictatorship that let people with no more than a high school education tell physicians what to do. Upper level management truly has no idea what they are doing at this point. The medical director at my facility was the most condescending, chauvinistic pig of a physician I've ever met, and I was a ortho resident briefly! The corporate headquarters is referred to as "regional" and if you get a phone call from them, it doesn't matter who it is, prepare to be disrespected like never before for some of the most inane reasons imaginable. My husband met the "owner" at the last Christmas party we attended and he wanted to pull him aside and let him know what was going on with the company he created, but the poor man didn't seem to know where he was. The well-being of the patient is secondary to profits, and this ultimately led to my departure. There are too many grey areas, too much activity that just can't be legal. I loved the job when I first started and there are still a few great people at the clinics I worked at, but those in charge are some of the most disgusting excuses for human beings I've ever met. If you have no other option, do not sign on for more than than part-time.

Pros

Fully staffed each shift with RN, Rad Tech, Medical Assistant, and Lab Tech. Set up for efficiency. Professional clinics always clean and well organized. Flexible scheduling as a part time employee; my availability given preference because of my other job requirements.

Cons

Protocols for treatment leave little flexibility for physician practice styles. Might as well be robots. Dinosaur EMR based on DOS. Very labor intensive to learn. Physician pressured to see multiple patients per hour, especially during flu season. Must see all patients that make it into clinic before 10:00 pm closing time. Never get home on time, many times seeing patients up to 2 hours after doors close. Big Brother is always looking over your shoulders, changing expectations i.e. now they are measuring the time from discharging a patient to when I dictate. Benchmarks for everything. It is ridiculous. Every week multiple new “Policies” published which all employees have to sign that they read the policies. There must be hundreds of policies which you are expected to know after reading them once. Look forward to the day I can quit and the end of every shift I work. High turnover rate of employees.
