Pros

I need to write this review to access glassdoor, but wanted to say that working at CoProcure has been awesome. We're working on a really difficult, but important problem with a huge social impact potential.

Cons

Small startup = ruthless prioritization

Pros

* The team is comprised of the smartest, kindest, and most interesting people I've ever met. Everyone is hyper competent while also being funny and earnest. Really an incredible team and a testament to how intentional the leadership team is about hiring. * Because the team is small there are a lot of opportunities to take one big impactful projects and learn new things. Leadership has been very explicit about shaping your role to further your career ambitions. For such a small team, there is so much thought put into performance reviews and career goal discussions. * In person 3 days a week at a dog-friendly office! Personally I love going into the office though others may see this as a con. * Working on an incredibly impactful product that users love. We are helping government be more efficient and saving so many people so much time and headache! And it's a massive mostly undisrupted marketplace.

Cons

* Small early stage companies mean that benefits aren't great (yet). No company subsidized dental or vision and no 401k, but there have been talk about adding them soon.

Pros

- The mission to fix procurement is super inspiring. When we help governments purchase disaster relief supplies or improvements to local infrastructure, it's clear how the work directly impacts the public. - The team is wonderful to work with. People are friendly and fun but also really engaged. Engineers say this is the fastest team they've ever seen and a great place to learn by doing. The mission attracts teammates interested in civics, and from diverse backgrounds (engineering is mostly women + nonbinary folks!). People genuinely like hanging out. - Compared to other startups, the founders did an amazing job setting up mature processes and a nontoxic work-life balance. They set an example of working hard while also prioritizing kids & family.

Cons

- Marketplaces are hard. Designing for multiple core user personas with a small team is hard (and a constant balancing act). There's a lot to do, and a high velocity bar. It can feel intense sometimes. - Like a lot of startups its age, Pavilion had a rough time transitioning from the ZIRP era to a harder fundraising environment. More focus on revenue earlier would've made things a lot easier later.
