Toxic would be an understatement
Pros
Relatively good pay and benefits
Cons
Nepotism abounds - they will encourage people to apply for positions within the company simply to make the promotion of friends and family less obvious. Toxic environment - Management expects employees to be whipping boys. Providers call in with complaints or issues with their claims and if you actually advise them how to fix the problem you will be reprimanded. They do not want the issues solved as every paid claim is less money for the company. They flood the phones with calls from internal extensions to fudge numbers when being reviewed by the state. They put people under so much pressure they have mental breakdowns/ panic attacks IN THE OFFICE, have to call 911, then ask for paperwork from the ER or they will take corrective action (occurances up to termination). Then refuse them any time off for a dr appointment to prevent it from happening again. Completely unprofessional management - when you have to apologize to providers on a daily basis because the sr. management staff is yelling at each other (I'm gonna fight you) in the background. Time off is a joke - you quite literally have to be entered into a lottery to request time off - but when you request it there is no way to know if they are actually following that process - they do this to ensure that they can give time off to their favorites before others. Training staff makes extremely inappropriate comments about race, gender, sexual orientation.. with no consequence. There is a reason that their turnover is so ridiculous.
