Pros

Hourly wage has increased substantially over the past couple of years, benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, 401k, colonial life plans)

Cons

Too many completely unnecessary workers including supervisors who don't know what they're doing. Workforce could be cut by at least 35% if they paid attention to the people who sit around, sleep, play on phones, hide in the building, walk around with the same paperwork and 1 unit all shift to look like they're working. If you are cross-trained, you may be working in a different section everyday which is fine, but if you're great at what you do and have exceptional skill, you are viewed as a threat by jealous employees and become the target of retaliation, bullying and sabotage. Management and HR don't take problems or suggestions seriously and you'll get in trouble for bringing things to their attention. Workers who care about the job are not wanted, lazy workers are rewarded even when reported. Lots of refugees so the language barrier is tough. Many groups don't like eachother and refuse to work together or speak to eachother. Company gets government kickbacks for hiring refugees, so Americans are becoming the minority and being pushed out. Overtime isn't offered to Americans because if the other nationalities don't get the Overtime they threaten to quit and Company doesn't want to lose the kickbacks/tax breaks. HR is not properly qualified or trained, handbook guidelines are often ignored and not followed so legitimate complaints are swept under the rug. Equipment is not maintained as it should be, and always breaking down affecting production and getting orders processed timely - but employees are blamed for not meeting deadlines. Power hungry supervisors and managers lie and gossip about others and it is taken at face value without investigation. This has resulted in the loss of high output employees hurting the company, but when brought to directors attention he won't listen. Your job is never safe and you can't believe what Management tells you because they are completely dishonest. Security is a joke - too afraid to do their job, but harass certain employees daily. Extremely toxic environment. If you are a professional who values your job - do not work here, it will end badly and seriously affect your mental health!! Supervisors make fun of, laugh at and gossip about employees with disabilities. That is ILLEGAL, but when reported is not addressed and the reporting employee is retaliated against whis is also ILLEGAL.
