Pros

The best reasons were the kids who this agency serves. Nothing else comes close.

Cons

The staff here were condescending, the supervisors were incompetent, and more interested in their paychecks than serving the kids in the surrounding area. I never worked in an agency with such short-sighted, and narcissistic therapists! At times it was as if the inmates were running the asylum. I would never recommend this agency to anyone whatsoever. I left and found a much better position where I am treated with respect and valued for my insights. Penny Lane is pathetic!

Pros

- Get your pre-licensed hours FAST - Meaningful work with underserved population - Work with amazing therapists and case managers - After working here paperwork at any other job will be easy. Would only recommend to someone fresh out of grad school who wants to get their hours quickly.

Cons

You get your hours fast because you are working at least 50 hours a week to meet productivity. Never ending pressure from supervisors to meet productivity with no empathy for reasons why you might not be making productivity (i.e discharged several clients in one month, clients on school breaks). Once you've learned the standard EBPs your clinical skills development becomes stagnant. Supervision primarily focused on billing and paperwork, not clinical skills. High turnover. Benefits package pretty standard and minimum. I felt like I was viewed as entirely disposable. Tons of nepotism. Encouraged to use my PTO when at risk of not meeting productivity for the month.
