Pros

Remote work Ok benefits Unlimited PTO Paycheck Not much else

Cons

Director has favorites and doesn’t appreciate hard work or motivate you. Product has a ton of issues and partners are not renewing No training or growth opportunities Not a team friendly environment , very clicky No support from other teams or team in general VP is control freak. Tries to be nice on surface but not a good or effective leader. RUN!! Ask to speak to team without management and they will be honest with you. I should have listened

Pros

I was the first hire after the founding team. PeopleGrove is the first startup I've worked for. I joined because I believed in the product and the founders, Adam and Reilly. The team has grown a lot since the beginning (when we didn't even have space in a coworking space), but we've prioritized culture and values as we've grown. The team is full of passionate, mission-driven individuals from diverse backgrounds, and my favorite thing about PG are the people I see at work every day. We found early product market fit, impressed our first handful of customers, and have seen steady consistent growth. It's fun to see something grow and evolve right in front of you, and have a direct impact in that growth. Work from home, travel, etc. is flexible and the team does occasional team lunches, game nights, volunteering days, etc.

Cons

Like any startup, things can be stressful and uncertain at times. Many times I (and others on the team) have had to roll up our sleeves and work on tedious projects, clean up messes, etc., while we are waiting for efficiencies, process improvements, etc. Often we're figuring things out as we go, so sometimes we've tried things that didn't work out or made a change too fast. I like to think that we've learned from our mistakes (and throughout, everyone's always remained motivated to help our customers and students at the end of the day), but there have been challenges along the way. We've gotten much better about communicating changes and seeking collective team feedback since the early days. I'm sure we'll run into additional roadblocks (internally and externally) in the future, but I've got confidence in the team and the founders.
