Pros

Decent Partners, Good Location, Not a lot of firings or lay offs

Cons

Dysfunctional work environment; People are treated totally differently and unfairly, not just between the attorneys and staff, but within each of those categories, some people can get away with doing no work, showing up whenever they want, and others are the work horses, hope you don't fall into the work horse category because you'll end up making up for all the slackers; HR is a joke, they play favorites and/or are complete ineffectual, HR makes the company culture way worse, not better; because this is a satellite office, the real people in power in the headquarters will never see or acknowledge the good, hard-working attorneys; there is little to no room for career advancement; if you come in here in one position, you will always stay there; it is extremely difficult to make partner here

Pros

Good pay, plenty of work, advanced well

Cons

Too many lazy people on staff, HR turned deaf ear and blind eyes to late starters, early departures, and/or staff just disappearing for long periods of time. Definitely a "class system" in operation.

Pros

Competitive pay, especially for Philadelphia office; great, knowledgeable partners; dedicated monthly training topics (corporate and securities); decent bonus potential; many partners are devoted more to family life than others.

Cons

Depending on whom you work with, hours expectations may be higher than others; ebbs and flows in work cause some weeks where you sit waiting for work and other weeks where you've worked multiple 65+ hour weeks with no end in sight; getting paired with the wrong partner(s) can lead to abusive employer/employee relationships; some partners have unrealistic expectations.
