Pros

4 day work days in the summer! You don't really have to work that hard!

Cons

Bad product that doesn't really do anything If you ever leave there is no two weeks - you're out the door before you can say goodbye to anyone No one actually wants to be there. Just a bunch of people collecting a paycheck CEO has no vision and isn't a friendly person

Since we've never had 4 day work weeks and you claim to not have worked hard...I am glad to see we were able to identify the issue and act to protect our culture in under a year! The work ethic and adversarial attitude in this posting do not jive with our culture of self-motivated hard work, passion/hustle, positive attitude, innovation/disruption, kindness, and collaboration. With the path to success never being a straight line, these values are just as important in the valleys as they are in the peaks as we work together to build an unprecedented product in an industry we pioneered.

Pros

Good snacks; meetings are concise; smart people

Cons

Terrible vacation time - 2 weeks your first two years; they pressure you to post on LinkedIn all the time; lots of turnover; they watch these reviews like hawks and have someone internal post a positive review to offset any negative reviews; really expensive health benefits that go up significantly every year mid-year so you lose all the money you put toward your deductible over and over; no 401k match; pretend to be cool about "perks" but it's just a show; the forced 9-6 is ridiculous; "summer hours" just means you get to work from home once a week - who cares

As a small, bootstrapped company, we strive for enough structure to avoid chaos while being flexible for our people. We leverage multiple WFH days per month and flex-time with core hours to help us find work/life harmony. When you join a bootstrapped startup (and receive equity) you'll need to invest a little extra time and effort. We aren't perfect, but our average length of employment is over 4 years. At the end of the day, the company's continued success and stability ensure employee wellbeing in the long term, something extra precious in these times.

Pros

Free snacks and drinks. Most people are nice.

Cons

Some software companies can turn even the simplest tasks into a grueling series of processes, endless meetings, and joint work across a big number of “stakeholders”. These companies take the joy and productivity out of programming and replace it with a series of rituals and set of language that people use to go through the motions every week so they can collect paychecks.
