What they offering on contract and in interview is not what you get.
There are minimal chances of progression or pay rises. There is no training structure and is pretty basic.
There is no pay structure within the company. They will start new technicians with no experience on more money than you even though you have far more experience or qualified.
Most of management, team leaders and area managers are poor, due to the fact all the good people have left, they have no organisation or experience. 10months into my service, I was the longest serving Technician out of 10 others. Staff turn around is so high, due to poor interviewing techniques meaning having to sack them or due to the person realising how rubbish the job is.
The areas are large with high volume of work, job contract states only 5 routines a day but need to be doing more than 12 on average to keep up to date. Even though work volume is high Pestokill will expect sites to be perfect even though you spend all your time sorting the mess the previous Technician and if by magic if you actually catch up, you will be moved into another area to help them catch up,. So even though you are working hard you are rewarded with more work while the lazy still do nothing.
Pestokill will expect you to be available for work 24/7 and if they get a job oohs they will want you there, no matter what. This wouldn't be so bad if they actually paid the overtime for it. Overtime is paid per a job which can leave you being paid less than minimum wage. Plus you will be lucky to be paid any overtime as the system to claim it, is in their favour, meaning having to spend time proving you actually did it, even though they have the paperwork, electronic upload and van tracker to verify!
Uses old barcode technology to registered baits checked. So basically the job is a glorified bait box kicker!
Avoid Pestokill unless you just want your level 2 and some experience before finding a better job
