Pros

The only job I’ve worked where I was genuinely happy to go to work and missed it when I was gone. The work environment for the most part is healthy and coworkers are happy. Management is super supportive and kind but never micromanaging or bothering you. They listen to what you need or suggest almost every time and are genuinely kind people. I’ve never had better managers and even though my leaving was unhappy, I still have a lot of respect for them.

Cons

Nepotism, favoritism, etc. Advancement is a challenge unless you’re one of their chosen people they really like. They’re amazing until you rub them the wrong way or challenge something then they flip out on you. The standard of care from one of their doctors is very low. We would tell them that a patient didn’t look great and the doctor would wait until they crashed to do anything about it. Very uncomfortable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for taking the time to reflect on your experience with us. We’re happy to hear that you found joy in your work environment and felt supported by our management team during your time here. Creating and maintaining a healthy, happy, and supportive culture is a top priority for us. Regarding advancement, we want to highlight that growth within our team is based on a structured process beginning with recommendation from multiple sources (including doctors, technicians, managers and HR), advanced skill development and business need. While we deeply value every team member’s contribution, the role of Hospital Aide is an entry-level position requiring extensive training to ensure the safety and care of our patients and clients. This foundation is crucial as it upholds the high standards we are committed to delivering We are surprised and saddened to hear the accusations of nepotism. As a family-owned business, we understand how the presence of family members in the workplace might be perceived. However, only 3 of our almost 60 employees are family members (a very low number as far as second-generation family businesses go) and we want to assure you that all family members have started in entry-level positions and worked their way up through years of dedication and development. We remain committed to fairness and providing opportunities for all team members to grow and succeed based on their merit and contributions. Regarding your concerns about the standard of care, please know that the safety and well-being of our patients are our highest priorities. All our veterinarians are experienced professionals who value the safety and health of their patients. We have protocols in place to monitor every pet closely, and we take great care to ensure timely and appropriate action for all medical situations. We continuously strive to improve and provide the best possible environment for both our team and our patients. If there’s anything more you’d like to share, we’d be happy to hear from you directly. We wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors and thank you again for your time with us.

Helping animals is always a plus

Cons

The most toxic environment. So much gossip I thought I was in high school.
