Discounts and the staff in head office who can be super friendly and helpful but at a store level you rarely get to interact with them.

I was constantly overworked and severely underpaid. I had to quit for my health and walking into stores now I can still see that they’re run by the same upper management team who pretend that they’re “always there for you” and then will only ever find time to talk to you when they think you’ve done something wrong.

-They sometimes send in secret shoppers -Fair amount of pressure to meet KPIs -Boxing day is so tiring! (not surprising haah) -I found i didn't get many shifts as our store had SO many Christmas casuals!

Solid work over the Christmas and other peak periods

Managers changed a lot over the years

not enough training provided the attitude of the staff

Discount and wearing PJs on weekends

Management deliberately didn’t give me a new contract / pay because I moved up a role and started closing the stores and handling more management style roles. Plus the poor as work culture is great :)
