Do NOT Apply: Horrible Employee Treatment

Pros

There are absolutely no positives regarding working at this company. You'll get experience working 3-5 different positions at once because management can't hire necessary employees to fulfill those position goals.

Cons

Upper management is tyrannical and corrupt. Everything is run as a dictatorship and if you have a problem with the way you're being treated, you WILL lose the battle if brought to HR. The marketing department higher-ups are manipulative, disrespectful, and discouraging of lower-level employees, as well as irresponsible and psychologically unsound in judgments. You will be lied to your face to get what they needs and they will turn around and point the finger back at you if they get in trouble for their own actions. The same goes for the IT department. Several have quit because of how horribly mistreated they are for mistakes they were never responsible for. Many have had to work long hours for hardware and software installation and have had to pick up the slack for foreign developers who aren't fit to meet company growth goals. If you value your health, your relationships and your livelihood, DO NOT apply to this company. It's ready to dive six feet under with the way things are run, do not waste your time at this horrible place.

Petrosoft Response

Petrosoft takes all employee feedback seriously, especially in the areas of legality, fairness and equality in the workplace. All factual complaints and accusations are handled with impartial and swift intervention. The company continues to grow and improve both internal and external processes related to employee hiring, training, and personal/professional development. It is our goal to have happy and satisfied staff, and the number of long-tenured employees is evidence to that effort.

Disappointing and concerning...

Pros

If you're in need of a job for a short term period while you search for the next opportunity in your career, then, Petrosoft offers a living wage and an adequate benefits package to make that search accessible. Just don't necessarily believe all the 3 star and up reviews left on the page. See below...

Cons

1. Another reviewer on this page used the term, "blatant nepotism" above. This is an accurate description of company culture and depicts the apparent favoritism and mobility paths utilized by senior management. Petrosoft is a family affair - through and through. It tends to breed a lot of animosity and toxicity. 2. The organization has little transparency between departments. Channels of business are kept almost completely separate from one another and nobody knows the truest answer to almost any question. Moreover, most people are wearing multiple hats and don't have the bandwidth. It frustrates hard working, dedicated people and burns them out. 3. Marketing efforts are nil and outdated, thus, making a capture of new business extremely difficult. If you're a brand new sales person - get ready to cold call dated prospects with minimal training on the software package. 4. There is no ramp, nor succession plan, in place for new employees. You are left to fend for yourself and hope to not be fired after 30-90 days. 5. The CEO screams at people and mistreats them.4-5 of my direct coworkers were verbally abused by him in this last year. My efforts were personally insulted by a member of the family when requesting an enablement tool to better do my job. 6. Incessant drilling and hammering for 3-4 months on end while the new building is being constructed (that we're supposed to be on the phones in) making it terribly distracting to work. 7. Broken internal tools and/or misuse of tools that are ineffective for a modern day salesforce to scale within. 8. Morale is EXTREMELY poor. Beware: bring the toughest skin you have into Petrosoft or prepare to be torn down. Most people are beat up and jaded. This is an abominable environment 3/5 days week.

Pros

Co workers co workers co workers and parking

Cons

Service, Support and Accounting. They are currently supporting 1900 accounts with a total of 1 customer service rep and 1 Tech support rep. I was not expecting perfection as no company is perfect however the support load for 2 people is unacceptable for any sustained growth. It’s only a matter of time until they exit if they continue to follow current course of doing business. Accounting is constantly double billing or over billing for cancelled accounts

Thank you for your feedback, however the facts stated here are inaccurate. There are currently 17 support reps across the company to support all of our customers on an everyday basis. We have never had only 2 support reps at any time during our 16 years in operations.
