Pros

Some of the relationships I made at Petvisor grew into life-long friendships.

Cons

During my tenure at Petvisor, I observed a concerning lack of effective leadership, which significantly hindered team cohesion and productivity. There was also a noticeable absence of Individual Development Plans, suggesting a missed opportunity for professional growth and skill enhancement across the board. Regrettably, there was a consistent absence of acknowledgment or appreciation for accomplishments, no matter the size. This lack of recognition adversely impacted morale and motivation within the team. The atmosphere was marked by excessive pressure and criticism, which fostered a stressful work environment, compromising both physical and mental well-being. The demands of roles eventually led to stress-induced health issues, highlighting the need for greater consideration of employee welfare and better workload management. A thorough assessment of employee satisfaction and engagement levels might be beneficial, as I believe my experiences may not be unique. Another concern was the inconsistency in handling performance improvement measures. Throughout my time, there seemed to be a focus on highlighting perceived shortcomings rather than recognizing contributions, which often created a feeling of marginalization. The overall work environment appeared unhealthy, characterized by a lack of support, unrealistic expectations, and a palpable sense of being targeted. In conclusion, I hope these insights serve as constructive feedback for the organization's ongoing efforts to foster a more positive and nurturing workplace culture.

Pros

Remote company Health benefits are nice Before the merger all the teams were really nice. The company was named a based place to work (which is likely true outside of our team)

Cons

Management on my team micromanages you if you don’t align with their thinking. We constantly introduce new products or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) without proper validation to ensure their effectiveness. Leadership plays favorites, and if you’re not a favorite, they’ll make it your problem. (I’ve witnessed this firsthand with a colleague.) We’ve filed several complaints to HR about our leadership, but nothing changes. HR acknowledges our struggles with leadership, yet nothing happens. They don’t offer annual raises, so they evaluate our pay every quarter but won’t inform us of the necessary steps to advance until we make a mistake, which they’ll then hold against us. Leadership is quick to assume you’ve done something wrong. We’re forced to learn a new product the hard way and learn from mistakes instead of receiving proper training and education. They claim they don’t want a four-day workweek because they have Flex Time off, but then hold us as hourly employees, preventing us from enjoying that benefit.

I regret to hear that your experience within the team has not been consistent with the culture we aim to uphold. Concerns around micromanagement, clarity of expectations, training, and fairness in leadership are taken seriously, and your comments reflect areas we have been actively addressing within the Implementation and Customer Success organizations. Over the past year, we’ve made significant leadership and structural changes, strengthened training programs, and updated our career frameworks to create more clarity and support. While I’m glad you’ve found value in the remote environment and benefits, it’s clear we did not meet your expectations in other important areas. Thank you for sharing your perspective—it helps guide the continued improvements we’re making.
