      Pros

      One of the highlights of volunteering was traveling to different municipalities and barangays. It gave me a deeper understanding of the healthcare needs of various communities and the importance of accessible healthcare services. Knowing that every unit of blood collected has the potential to save lives is incredibly fulfilling. Being part of that mission made every early morning, long travel, and busy event worthwhile.

      Some blood donation activities require travel to remote areas, which can be physically exhausting, especially during consecutive outreach events.

      The salary is relatively okay compared to some other organizations in the same field. The work itself can be meaningful, especially knowing that the organization contributes to humanitarian efforts and public service.

      Cons

      Management can be quite toxic at times, with poor communication and lack of support for staff. There are no bonuses, and overtime work is often expected but not compensated. Because of these issues, the turnover rate is very high, and many employees do not stay long.
