Pros

I wish I’d never worked here

Cons

While there are good and decent people who work here and try their best, Phoenix is permeated with a toxic corporate work culture where you are expected to do the impossible, given no support and only receive criticism. This is driven by its senior management who cares only about numbers on a spreadsheet and show no trust in its employees. The company is ruthless in its pursuit of “growth” (profits) and is more than willing for anyone who can’t “keep up” to be crushed - physically, emotionally, psychologically. If you care about your mental health, avoid this company.

Pros

Nice location, central London area

Cons

Highly wouldn’t recommend interviewing or pursuing role. Signed me on and sent contract, was about to start and then they rescinded my offer and said it was due to the lockdown that had just been imposed. When I later found out it was the manager actually gave back the employee who chose to leave back her job. Had to go out of my way to ask at the very least they honor their contract and pay my notice that they were legally required to do. Terrible as I just moved to take on this new role

Pros

It is often short-staffed and there is quite a high turnover rate so you get a lot of experience in many specialties. The staff and people who work at this clinic are wonderful to work with through the crazyness of this place. Everyone helps you whilst you are busy or need help. The team is welcoming and from many countries. Good exposure to outpatient care.

Cons

They overwork their employees and let the consultants mistreat and scream at their staff. Nothing works (the lift, telephone, and computers always break) and staff were not given proper training or shadowing. Yet, you are expected to know everything after being shown one time and what every consultant needs and wants but you have not been trained? Then who gets screamed at with insults? Us. There is a high turnover rate for a reason. It is like a revolving door. People are so miserable so that is why staff leave sometimes after a day, a week, or a month after being hired. It is so disorganised and mismanaged. You never feel appreciated or that management supports you. Don´t trust this organisation. They do not care about you or invest in you. Communication is practically non-existent and you are not treated well. Management is not professional and they do not care about their staff at all. You are always doing the job of 2-3 people here it is exhausting.
