There are more cons to this company and the jobs offered than pros. From the very beginning, one will learn that they have no room or opportunity for career growth or skill growth while being paid lower than the same position within Lubbock regardless of their background or education. Employees are not paid for the issues they must handle especially when patients become angry and rude when they are just doing their job. There is no support from upper management when it comes to dealing with these patients until after the patient has already taken their anger out on the employee. This job will leave one so stressed out that it is hard to leave work at work and it will interfere with their personal life and possibly outside relationships.
There is no true communication within the company and most decisions are made by everyone other than the owners or the HR Department. Employees will be caught in the middle of multiple higher up employees because they all tell the employee something different and they are not sure whose instructions to follow. It feels very much like the drama experienced in high school and everyone, especially the front office, wanting to know everything about someone to use that information to gossip about them. When one tells someone any piece of information, especially that should not be shared with others, they tell everyone about it behind their back. For example, when management decided to allow vaccinated employees and all patients the choice to wear masks or not while requiring unvaccinated employees to wear the masks, many vaccinated employees told patients that those wearing masks were unvaccinated violating those employees’ HIPAA rights.
If someone decides to work there, don’t plan on taking time off, going to any type of appointment, or any emergency that would keep them from going into work because if it is less than 2 week’s notice of said situation, then they will require the employee to sign a write up that they call an “unscheduled”. Three or more of those in a quarter can be considered for termination.
Overall, this was not a good job or company to work for and would recommend finding a job elsewhere.
