Pros

ML based product BFSI Industry market

Cons

1. Engineering Head is a stakeholder and a co-founder. The Engineering Head has only 4 years of experience. This is why he lacks the maturity to handle a team and also the perspective to understand technical views. Because he is also the stakeholder and co-founder in the company, you cannot do anything but leave the company when he harasses you. He is the only one who interviews you before you are admitted to the company. Yet he manages to avoid taking the responsibility when employees leave. An eight year experienced developer had to leave within a month of joining and I had to leave within two months of joining solely because of the Engineering Head. The other co-founders, being non-technical have their hands tied and their effort is limited to apologizing to you. 2. Extreme Micro-management: Availability between 10 pm and 3 am is more important to the company then meeting the deadlines. So even if you are capable of working long hours in a startup, if you cannot be a night watchman then avoid joining this company. Note that I am not talking about typical delivery/demo days pressure, this happens everyday. The Engineering Head is more interested in trolling your Slack green light than actual work. Because he works in the night, he feels he has earned the right to be irritable in the morning stand up. 3. Codebase: Garbage. They have neither the understanding nor the desire to learn ReactJS or Javascript. The Engineering Head writes code and structures the product in a way which only he can understand. He feels insecure if someone more senior to him takes charge of the code or architecture. 4. False commitments: I was told that Saturdays will be a no-coding day. Yet, after joining I was given work on Saturday without any compensatory off. The worst part is they deny that they had committed to a no-coding Saturday. 5. Holidays Policy Trap: They tell you they have flexible holidays policy. What they mean is that they don't want to give you even the basic sick leaves, casual leaves and minimum leaves (like festivals) available in every company. 6. Summary: This is one company which treats you like an animal to pursue their own success. So if you are planning to join the above company, ensure that all the commitments are received in writing with no ambiguities.

Pros

None I can think of. Possibility of buying out your notice period is an important one it’ll be your best friend at this place.

Cons

The other detailed review captures it well but here’s more: • Sales expects engineers to work like a sales team. Wants everything EOD no matter the technical nuances of the problem. [Work-Life gone] • Management expects employees to be as passionate as them about their startup without putting any effort into the employee’s well-being financially, mentally or any way possible. Calls employees “GEMS” and then treats them like shi. [ JOB SATISFACTION gone] • Engineering head expects you to do everything other than what you were hired for. Comes up with illogical long shot approaches to things and expects them in deadlines. Will pass personal comments and is incapable of leading a team. [MENTAL HEALTH gone] • 6 days working. [LIVELIHOOD gone] • Check ex-employee history and do connect with them for their experiences. [EMPLOYEES gone]

Pros

Learning, occasional outings, timeless lunch breaks (not restricted to time).

Cons

1. Unrealistic Deadlines Project Managers often commit to client deadlines without prior consultation with the team. This leads to unmanageable workloads and timelines that are frequently impossible to meet. 2. Lack of Requirement Clarity Requirements are constantly in flux. PMs make changes or promises to clients without holding thorough discussions with the development team, causing confusion and rework. 3. Inadequate Work-Life Balance There are no fixed working hours. Employees are expected to work until tasks are finished, often pushing well past standard working hours with no regard for personal time. 4. Weekends and Leave Policy Issues Weekends are regularly encroached upon for work. The existing leave policy is ineffective — taking leave usually means compensating by working on weekends or catching up outside work hours. 5. No Overtime Compensation Extra hours, regardless of how many, go unpaid. There is no structure in place to reward or acknowledge the overtime efforts of employees. 6. Inefficient Workspace The current office space is insufficient for the growing team. Overcrowding results in distractions, discomfort, and a lack of dedicated workstations for all team members. 7. Continuous Deadline Pressure The entire workflow is driven by external client deadlines. There is little to no focus on structured internal processes like sprints, retrospectives, or proper planning cycles.
