Pros

Satan's Playground. Enter at your own risk!!!!

Cons

I worked within this company for almost 5yrs and dealt with all the craziness that came along with the position. I was a Senior Processor and I had a manager who was Satan's child. She lied and was known for doing underhanded dealings when it came to employee relations. I WOULD HO ON A CORNER BEFORE I WOULD EVERY THINK OF GOING BACK TO THAT PLACE!!!!

Pros

What could be positive about a place when you are worked to the absolute maximum and go home everyday worried to your core that you made a mistake on one of the 60 to 100 files you worked on that day? Oh yeah, you get a yearly pizza party, an ice cream treat, St. Patrick's Day cookies, a cheap boat cruise (which they used to practically force you to attend by threatening to not pay you for the day in order to make you party with people you resent) and a holiday party no one attends anymore...you also get the luxury of dealing with some of the most inept and miserable attorneys around, because let's face it, NO ONE wants to be a foreclosure attorney when they are in law school and receive some of the worst attorneys' salaries around town.

Cons

Where do we begin...Supervisors need to be completely eliminated as the "reporting" they do is usually done by Senior Processors F/K/A Coordinators who are very much undervalued and have mostly amassed enough experience to run their departments without an overseer. Some supervisors who had been here for nearly two decades had to be completely re-trained rapidly (by their own staff in secrecy) in the past several months (due to massive client crackdown) on client sites and the AS-400 itself as they usually hung out not doing much but getting leisurely lunches with HR personnel when the rest of the firm is working through their lunch (which is illegal) though they punch out on Paylocity just so they have some peace of mind when they clock out at the end of the day that the workload has been "handled." The pay is atrocious. Supervisors are pushing as much responsibility off of themselves in order to not be accountable for mistakes. Of course, the economy is bad, but what does a law firm expect from workers who are usually young, have acquired undergraduate debt, further debt from a paralegal certificate, who are then coerced to work through a temp agency at 9.00 dollars an hour for 3-5 months and then undergo an additional probationary period of 3 months before becoming eligible for health benefits and take into consideration any family related expenses such as children that you might be caring for as a single parent, but to the condescending lonely spinster supervisor who has worked at the firm for almost 20 years it's simply not their problem. It's as corporate as it gets! You get what you pay for and the quality of work is bad! Not to mention the years and years that went by in which this firm was providing legal advice to defendants through the "customer service" department (against their own clients' interest) due to having no attorney supervisors providing quality control for those workers who were improperly trained to talk to callers, mostly defendants...

A truly horrible place

Pros

There are a lot of good and hardworking people currently working there. They also offer decent benefits and you are paid timely.

Cons

This place has merged multiple times in the last 18 months. Since the mergers, there have been mass layoffs. Business will likely not improve as foreclosures are down. They stopped offering a Christmas bonuses. The raises they may offer are extremely low as well. The foreclosure department is the definition of a train wreck. Attorneys and staff are continually being asked to handle more and more tasks (of course no additional pay is extended). Everyone is overwhelmed, but upper management refuses to comprehend this reality and is quick to punish their subordinates. The worst is there are some in upper management whom are simply not qualified for their position. These individuals are extremely unprofessional and have made many disrespectful remarks about former and current employees. If you do anything wrong, be prepared to be scolded like a child as well. Most importantly, it seemed like upper management had nothing better to do but micromanage everyone.
