Pros

cant think of any, not a nice place to work

Cons

as an engineer i felt like one of their customers, at the start of the month you owe them about £800 which you have to make before you start earning, you have to pay for everything including uniform and van rental that is an old banger which costs more for you to rent than it would cost to buy. Youre supposed to be self employed and they use that as a way of shifting all the risk on to you, if anything goes wrong its down to you, they still get paid, if a job you quoted for turns out to need more materials it come out of your wages. Also the amount of money you can earn is capped at a day rate and the stories of big earnings are much exaggerated, you'd earn more working for yourself. Also what I was most uncomfortable wit, they rip off their customers, engineers are meant to sell new boilers not repair anything, customers end up getting sold stuff they dont need, then the engineers work at a snails pace to get the max amount of days on the job

Toxic Work Culture

Pros

Made some good friends there, excellent canteen staff doing the best they can

Cons

To take a job at Pimlico you must be prepared to completely surrender your independence. You will be monitored throughout your working day by CCTV cameras and will have screenshots sent to you if senior management feel you are not up to scratch. There is a toxic workplace culture of what worked in the 1980's still works today, there is very little diversity within the business and there is active discrimination within the recruitment process. Please note I do not blame the recruitment and HR department for this as they are just following orders. You are given very little sense of job satisfaction and if you have not worked your way into the popular crowd you are left feeling unwanted and disheartened. Annual leave entitlement is the bare minimum and your break times during the working day are very regimented (some departments have break times written up on the wall every day). There is more than can be discussed but I think this review should give you enough of an insight into what a toxic organisation this is.
