Administration at ALL levels in the hierarchy are dishonest, hypocritical, defensive, and retaliatory. Teachers are overworked and female teachers consistently earn less than their male counterparts with equivalent experience and work loads. This is a need-aware school that bows to the demands of its full pay families. DEI work is incredibly performative and disingenuous. Athletics program is a Golden Cow worshipped and protected above all else. The “bro” culture among its male-identifying students is rampant and ignored whenever possible. The extracurricular demands put upon the teaching faculty is time equivalent to a second full-time job. The high teacher turnover rates exist for a reason. This place grinds down good people and gaslights them if they dare to complain. It wasn’t great before COVID. Now? Unless you’re a rich, white, cis, hetero male involved in athletics this school is a terrible place to work. Do NOT work here if you want to be treated humanely.
