Pros

Free lunch is delivered daily.

Cons

Piqora did a great job of hiring fantastic people, and a lousy job of respecting them and keeping them. They hire great talent just to fire them, and use Glassdoor reviews as a way to throw hard working employees under the bus for the failures of the leadership. A volatile CEO that makes empty promises and gossips like a high school girl. Management without direction.

Pros

- free breakfast and lunch - near Cal-train Station (in San Mateo) - non-management staff is a group of hard working and likeable people

Cons

- terrible communication of expectations, and zero feedback on development - training was short, and not sufficient - management is EXTREMELY condescending, and creates unpleasant work environment - while the office is small, each team is very "clicky" - management speaks as if product is the gold-standard, when the competition is better in many areas (including price)

Pros

Sadly there are very few. There are many talented individuals creating a promising product that is serving a need in the market for Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr analytics. Your day to day coworkers will be cool. Regrettably, that is all. If you do receive an employment offer, I do not advise accepting for the following reasons.

Cons

They are too many to name, unfortunately. Some big ones to highlight are: 1. Dishonest and Untrustworthy Senior Management. They are inexperienced, unethical and unprofessional -- never in my career has it been so bad. Instead of addressing problems with the product, pricing, sales, they instead shift blame on employees. In effect, a toxic culture of distrust, dissatisfaction, and ultimately round after round of lay-offs occur. For example, they fired a Co-Founder out of nowhere. You will likely follow a similar fate. 2. Low Salary. Be sure to negotiate. The equity portion is nearly worthless - don't believe that you will have any real stake in the start-up. If you are in Sales, the quota is unrealistic. No one really hits it. 3. Product is Unreliable. So client renewals/client churn is a big challenge because the startup cannot deliver the service at the high price point they are charging. 4. Unprofitable. And that creates an environment of anxiety and poor accountability. Every single employee and every team is raw on edge.
