Pros

Well meaning company. Have been strong in delivering Database, BI and Data Analytics solutions. Great people working here - highly intelligent and capable. Great place for new hires.

Cons

Going through a bumpy integration with new parent company. The new parent is a slow maneuvering battleship that turns slowly at sea. Piraeus was the nimble fast maneuvering PT Boat which is now being slowed down. All of HR refers employees to self service instead of providing service. Assume that if the employee asks they can't find it on their own; it's difficult enough to ask - but some things can't be googled.

Pros

They hire a lot of very young and limited experienced people who can grow their careers here. Very self directed and able to make an impact when directed by a solid middle manager. Based in Seattle and many can take bus, ride bicycle, or walk to work. This will likely change with Beyondsoft acquisition. Very strong in Managed Services at Microsoft. Great place to consult if you want to gain Microsoft experience.

Cons

Too Microsoft-centric. Do not recognize how the rest of the world does business or even converses. Currently undergoing huge changes in leadership and ownership since acquired by Chinese owned firm under current economic pressure. With the decline of the Chinese stock market, this firm went from $1B firm to $725M firm - huge decline. Lay-offs have already happened in Bellevue and Seattle - more will follow. Local leadership not sales savvy, other than in Microsoft. Beyondsoft will ruin the Piraeus firm they acquired as they do not understand the culture that built this unique consulting firm. Offices very noisy for trying to conduct business - open space and lots of laughter and chit chat in background which erupts out of quiet. Some language offensive to co-workers tolerated as a norm.
