I worked at Pixomondo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great and talented people to work with

    Cons

During my tenure at Pixomondo, countless people quit, with citing bad management and an abusive work environment as reasons for leaving. I was totally devalued.

The management was unqualified and inexperienced, they do not seem to know what they are doing.

Low pay - some people work more than 12 hours a day and only get up to 10 hours pay.
    Zero training
    No health insurance benefits
No vacation days, no paid holidays (only for “staff”)
Does not care about employee’s long term development

    Advice to Management

Treat your team better. They deserve at least a standard pay.

I worked at Pixomondo full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    S'mores (DOG) R8 and donuts

    Cons

Working at Pixomondo was one of my worst experiences in my entire career. From the facility, to the people and to the so called "Pipeline". Everything at the studio in Toronto was a mess. The building was so dirty and the people had no idea how to speak to each other. Leads were vulgar and demeaning. People were just horrendous. The only thing going for them in Toronto is Star Trek, if it wasn't for that project they would shut down.

    Advice to Management

    Close it down

    Pros

Working atmosphere is good very laidback and people generally come on there own time
They do care for employees like having food or beer and other nice thing
    Salary was alright for me

    Cons

Management and pipeline has long way to go
People in the studio are superficial and not willing to socialize
Really long down time where employees are basically doing nothing in the studio for months
    Not many cool projects lately

    Advice to Management

Start fresh and hire new ones
