Pros

The company as a whole may have some, by my department was intentionally isolated.

Cons

I didn't know work environments could be this bad. Not only was I screamed and swore at personally, but bullying and mob-abuse is led and encouraged by the manager. Workers commonly watch distasteful videos including those with black people getting shot to death while accompanied by racist commentary by the viewers. There are no windows and contact with people outside the Black-Ops department is discouraged. The department runs with no oversight at all and the manager has complete control over everything. The manager will change his mind on core functionality and design daily and celebrate it as "flexible". After much grilling, he admitted this often has no basis in reason and is based on his feelings that day. As a designer, it was especially maddening that back-end developers with no design experience had complete veto power over any aesthetic decision I made. The boss is disrespectful, unorganized and completely unfit to be a manager. (He got this job by being a "yes man"). He has a bizarre obsession with controlling the team. He answers to no one and it shows.

Pros

- Learn about electrical products through computer based training(Time Permitting)

Cons

- Job descriptions are not accurate - People that are hired on to the company by family members or friends are paid more than people that have been there for years and get preferential treatment. - The opportunity for advancement in the company does not work like you are told during the hiring process (The only way to get a raise is to change positions, and that only happens if someone quits, moves to another store, or dies!) - Under Staffed branches - The expectations from customers are that Platt workers are certified electricians and should have all the answers. All of the information that new Platt employees have to learn, the pay is very low! (Unless your're a family member/friend of a person that's been there for a while). - Managers/Employees that have been with the company for a while are not held accountable for any of their wrong actions. - The core values the company promotes is all talk. It sounds good, but it's not how the company really operates. - Very little diversity when you start looking up the ladder.
