Pros

Very relaxed dress code with extremely flexible hours. Company loves to give away free product to get their employees excited about something new. They also feed their employees well.

Cons

No career advancement opportunities, senior management (they are owned by DEI Sales, inc, who also owns brands like Viper/Clifford/etc and are based in California) has no idea about the rich history that the baltimore office (where Polk was born and has remained for all 42 years of its existence) has and how much the people there do.

Engineering at Polk

Pros

Relaxed environment, very informal (people often wear shorts in the summer). Great appreciation for engineers and what we mean to the company.

Cons

Little room for advancement, and a tendency to pigeon-hole people into a job. To "compensate" for relaxed environment, pay isn't particularly competitive. Got more "corporate" after DEI buyout.
