Pros

Free food for lunch and supper

Cons

There is a very high churn rate of unhappy staff leaving due to the long hours and intimidatory management techniques. The company's brand and its internal culture are diametrically opposed. If you are not a Founder or German you can expect to have a relatively short tenure. Expect to be underpaid and overworked. If you are a Malaysian document everything and speak to an employment lawyer or the Industrial Tribunal as soon as you get a warning letter.

Terrible Upper Management & Work Environment

Pros

Free meals for lunch and dinner

Cons

Working at dahmakan started as a great experience, but once you penetrate the outer layer, you’ll start to notice a lot of red flags. If you’re a local, you would be expected to put in 120% and settle for a low pay. Promises would be made for increment or even climbing the corporate ladder, but as long as you’re a local, when the time comes, upper management would come up with all kinds of silly excuses that doesn’t even make any sense. Most of the foreigners are Germans as 2 of the founders are Germans. There would also be tons of interns from different parts of the world, mostly German as well. I’ve personally worked with a lot of them, and they have the same attitude as the upper management whereby they look down on the locals and at times show signs of disrespect even though their positions are interns. The problem is the upper management (made up of foreigners) don’t trust & look down on locals, so they never give the locals a chance to shine, help them grow professionally or even prove themselves. They straight underestimate each person’s capabilities, and hire a foreigner to take over even though most of the foreigners don’t have any outstanding skill in this industry and achieve what a local could have done for half the cost.

Pros

You got tons of free food, you'll be good in multitasking and survival of the fittest

Cons

No signs of appreciation for employees, no culture, poor upper management, high turnover rate, no employee benefits, discrimination to locals. Think twice before you apply.
