Pros

The customers were fun, most of them. Most of my coworkers were nice. I liked working the bar a lot.

Cons

At the beginning, it was nice but things changed mostly when upper management kept changing. There attitude just tanked. They got sneaky and underhanded. I saw an older guy come in for a job and he had experience but they didnt hire him and talked about it was because of his age. I mean look at the review a manager put up here because he knows how bad it is and it looks bad for a high paid manager to say how great it is. Seriously.

Pros

It was fun and the shifts went by fast. The work was fast paced. I liked my fellow workers.

Cons

*Management seems to hire petite blonds for upper management roles that have NO IDEA how to handle the job, *Some of those same upper management folks aren't as slick as they think they are about hiding the underhanded things they're doing, *The way they think they will talk to us borders on amusing, *I have seen some middle level management folks leave on their own or be fired simply because they don't fit the mold of upper management, *I started my next job working in another kitchen w/a better salary & work schedule too- I left because it's so toxic behind the scenes it's like a nuclear waste dump for morale

Pros

If you just need a job and plan to continue your search this can help pay some bills. If you’re really good a politics and can move up a ladder by brown-nosing, there is room for growth. With better leadership and structure, the place has great potential. It’s a nice venue and the food is good.

Cons

Poor structure. Bartenders are also servers, and bar backs, and bussers. You’re doing 4 jobs at once (unless you have favor and are assigned to work at a bar alone) And you are expected to provide the same services as some one only doing one job. Faulty technology. The system is a sad copy of Toast with less than half of the functionality and flexibility. It doesn’t even do what was demonstrated during training. It takes away from the efficiency of the restaurant and causes issues with the kitchen. Lack of communication. I can ask 4 leaders the same question and get 4 different answers, on any given day. There is an application for sending messages to the entire staff and it is not utilized. Some updates are shared via pre and post shift but thats only if you have a pre or post shift. And leadership will not hesitate to condemn you for not knowing something when they’ve failed to share information properly. The described culture does not match the actual culture. - We were told that the company was big on teamwork and positivity but it's. There are staff that will stand and watch other employees work hard, cleaning, making drinks etc and they won’t lift a finger to help. Some bartenders are messy and never wipe down their wells. (Bees love to hang out here by the way and some people have been sting) It’s quite frustrating when wells have to be shared. Not to mention unsanitary and a turn off to guests. I watch a bartender take off her bra and proceed to roll silverware without washing her hands. Ive been using plastic ever since. Employee morale is low. Turnover is already on the rise. 5 of the most positive, friendly, and hard working bartenders have resigned. Guests often ask us if we like working here because even they can tell. It’s beyond frustrating. Poor leadership. Leaders have caught attitudes, made assumptions and accusations without fact checking, rolled their eyes, stopped saying hello, retaliated by significantly decreasing hours, and hidden Christmas gifts just to name a few of the unprofessional actions that I’ve witnessed.
