Pros

The company is really cute, fun, and colorful. They have an amazing office supplies closet (as expected!) and free food in the kitchen. They have a really great product and the company seems to be heading in a great direction.

Cons

Really shady employee treatment and no transparency! The office is extremely cliquey and even super hard working people don't get promoted or get offered full time positions. People get terminated without notice or warning and none of the management seems to want to address employee disappearance at all! I have even heard a story of a person coming into work one day and their desk was just not there anymore! They never got a warning, any kind of improvement plan, or even notice they were not working there anymore. Just really strange practices... In the beginning you might think it's a fun place to work but really it's all smoke and mirrors. It's just a small group of bullies that want to hire people, use you, and then lose you...

Pros

Poppin is great at seeming like a fun, hip startup. Lots of perks including dog-friendly offices, catered lunch on Mondays, Bagel Fridays, unlimited vacation, cool office space, company outings, etc.

Cons

I was there less than a year and know many others who have quit in a short amount of time as well. This office was so toxic and really took a tole on me. I couldn't trust anyone aside from my boss, who only oversaw me. I was bullied by several people, talked down to, left out of things, and talked about behind my back. HR doesn't care how anyone is treated. They value money and sales over having a kind and welcoming office culture. All of the managers choose favorites and are white. General lack of diversity and most of the POC people were not in sales or client facing, which seems very off. I cannot stress to you enough that the "work happy" slogan is a hoax. They don't care if their employees are happy, they care about sales. One person on the sales team bullied tons of people and was still around because their sales numbers were incredible. But everyone stole deals out from under each other and competed for commission, which is so stupid. I beg of you, do not work here. Your happiness will be much better taken care of elsewhere. Your mental health will decline in this office. I promise you you will hate it there.

Pros

Catered Monday Lunches Great Snacks Opportunity to work with some smart and talented people. Excellent Products and Design team

Cons

Leadership lacks transparency, ability to lead in an organized way and an ability to provide insight into the aggressive goals that are set. Salaries are not transparent. People on the same team can have a pay gap of 10k-15k Lack of info and feedback on personal growth opportunities within the company. Feedback is encouraged, but typically is shut down or ignored if it doesn’t align with the vision of the executive team.
