Pros

overtime. there is plenty of parking.

Cons

This small, critical assess hospital has the potential to be an excellent place to work as a nurse but nursing management continues to manage ER and medical surgical floor ineffectively. It appears that have no clue how to run theses floors. After working at numerous hospital in NY, MA, and VT, this small hospital does not value its staff or even the well-being of patients. Patients are at risk. False documentation. Staff that are trained improperly. Many have to learn on the spot, when there is a critical change in a patients condition. CMS needs to audit the charts

Pros

Most coworkers are amazing, easy to get along with and very helpful. The supervisor, Amy, should run the department. She is the best promblem solver and team player. If no one can do it, Amy can. The patients are relatively polite and it’s fast paced, easy work.

Cons

Manager is a joke. Not able to problem solve or enforce corrective action. Unable to work an entire work day and fails to actually manage the department. HR changes policies with no notice, refuses to meet with employees, and avoids problems. Holiday and sick day is the same as vacation time and is very slow to accrue.
