      All that glitters is not gold

      Pros

      Handling COVID as best they can, decent pay.

      No good pay check is worth the dark cloud this company is turning into. The less than conventional way the CEO and RVP communicate with the company fools people into thinking we are all one big family. Years ago we were all elated, believing this company valued integrity and their employees, but that is far from the truth. If you are a senior member or someone who had a past with a higher up, then you are golden and essentially given a pass to run free, performing sub par. Corporate loves to look the other way. Do not speak your truths, have feelings or opinions that go against the grain- you will be punished. Regionals make it known how spread thin they are and provide little to no support for their teams. All while imposing numerous short deadlines and chopping off the heads of their managers when the unrealistic promises they made to owners cannot be delivered in today’s market. We were promised work/life balance but they have made a culture where you can’t step away from your computers and are punished for not walking laps around your sites 10 hours a day. Less than stellar employees are kept on payroll because regionals don’t want to be bothered with actually investigating issues on site or hiring quality people. If you want an environment with no support or protection, this is your company. Once things calm down with this pandemic, I will be out the door fast. So disappointing.

      Can not think of any Pros in the phoenix region

      Cons

      Upper management lacks communication and lies to ownership. They make tasks more complicated then they should be. They will demote you or firing you for no reason. HR is definitely there to protect upper management not for employees. They will make you work 6 days a week and tell you that you can not get paid overtime because you are a salary employee and "They work 7 days a week".

      Terrible place to work

      Pros

      This place is 100% full of amateur drunks that know zero about managing anything. They dress poorly. Corporate leaders are ratchet messes. Just don’t EVER consider working for Portico unless it’s a last option.

      See above. There are literally no pros. They are slumlord owners bi##hes. That’s what they do.

      Well, it’s never fun to read a review like this, and this one was one of the more tough ones we’ve ever had to respond to. But after some real soul searching (and a few trips to urbandictionary.com) we understand you aren’t very happy here at Portico. And although we never want anyone to be unfulfilled working here, we also realize we’re not the perfect fit for everyone. We genuinely want to improve and get a little better every day. So if you’re willing to chat…we’ll skip the drinks…we’ll listen with genuine positive intent. Because as tough as this review was to read…we learn way more from the negative feedback than from the positive. So please feel free to contact our HR department, or you can drop our President an email. His email and cell phone are on his signature block. He means it when he says anyone can call him any time. If you’re still here at Portico, please help us understand where we’re truly falling short. If not, we wish you the best of luck.
