Pros

On paper, the work that an education non-profit does is good work.

Cons

The CEO and Co-Founder, Elisabeth Stock, will never bother to learn your name, admit her faults, or include people of color in the management/director-level positions. The hurdles that will be removed to keep white women in charge and people of color serving under them are enormous. Not being worried about the appearance of being another "White Savior" Company has lead this company's actions into a terrible position.

Pros

Employees are given creative freedom but not support to ultimately enact creative approaches to old problems. Leadership is too conservative for big game-changing efforts, though that is what they claim to want to see in the staff.

Cons

Health insurance is prohibitively expensive, passive-aggressive leadership styles stifle innovative efforts, this is not a place to grow skills.

Pros

- working alongside passionate and smart individuals who feel strongly about the mission of the organization - positive work environment that encourages feedback - opportunities to collaborate with other teams and expand knowledge - management is always available and open to ideas - love what you do

Cons

Because this is a non-profit, there is always the question of stability or the risk of positions being eliminated.
