Pros

Co-workers became wonderful friends.

Cons

Everything. As a "Spa Coordinator" you are responsible for everything except doing the laser treatments themselves. You are the receptionist, phone operator, scheduler, cashier, waitress, maid, sales person, telemarketer, file organizer, desktop publisher, and whatever else they want to throw at you... (i.e. painter, event scheduler, construction worker, IT department, etc.) There is no in-house IT, so anything that goes wrong with the computers or electrical, you are expected to figure it out or wait a week for the actual IT guy to show up and he's about as much help as a wet mop. You are expected to make sales but if you make a sale to a client that is in the building, you make the techs mad because you are "stepping on their toes", so you are expected to call clients to try to sell them over the phone- WHILE you're answering phones, checking in/checking out clients, dealing with computer issues, keeping the bathrooms spotless and the floors of the entire office swept and mopped... If the phones are down or the weather forces the office to close, they expect you to use your personal cell phone that they don't pay the bill for. Spa Coordinators make the least amount of money but are expected to have the most amount of responsibilities. Good luck on making those "huge paychecks" they talk so much about. Upper management is a joke. The "regional managers" don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. Communication is non-existent but you get into trouble if you do something against any of their constantly changing policies. Upper management constantly contradicts themselves. Client safety and education is last priority- all they care about is that dollar sign. The company offers $250 a month to go toward your benefits, but even with that you can only afford to take advantage of the dental and vision. The health insurance is so high that no one I worked with was able to afford it. For Christmas, don't expect a bonus or a gift. The upper management/owners sent an emailed video wishing everyone happy holidays. I guess we weren't even worth a coupon for a turkey or something. And as for their advertising... it's b.s. It's not "permanent hair removal", it's permanent hair reduction and their catch phrase of "never shave again" is bull. I'm surprised they haven't been sued by all their clients yet.

Pros

Love the people I work with at my spa. Great team environment. Love what I do. Used to be great pay with great commission.

Cons

New upper management hired bringing in what they thought was great ideas to improve profitability but in reality have lost most of their most loyal, talented, and knowledgable people. They have lost sight of showing appreciation for their employees by cutting commissions for technicians and managers in order to put money back in their pockets. No more motivation to sell. Bad communication all around. Used to be such a great place to work.

Pros

No pros for Premier Laser Spa.

Cons

Premier Laser Spa is a company that is trying to grow and take over the laser hair removal industry by recruiting all of their competitors top performers with an extremely aggressive bait and switch tactic. The company has a whole has poor culture, values and morale. The upper management has no respect for their employees and very little knowledge of how to run a business, especially a laser hair removal business. They have no experience in the industry. Every aspect of this company is juvenile and set for failure. The techs are aestheticians that have no medical experience and little to no training - the techs do not use the proper settings for optimal results (because they were not trained properly) and when they do the client is burned because the lasers are old and do not get the proper maintenance needed - leaving almost every client unsatisfied, they 'pay' clients with free treatments to write great online reviews, the company expectations and policies change on a daily basis, the owners are involved in the daily business but have no clue what is going on, over-promise and under-deliver is a normal interaction for this company with both employees and clients. There are many issues with Premier Laser Spa and how they chose to do business. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a career or for anyone looking to invest in laser hair removal - you will be extremely disappointed in the lack of results and the money lost. Be warned before considering employment or treatment from Premier Laser Spa. They don't deserve you.
