Pros

The people are the best part of this company. My direct team was exceptional, supportive, and hardworking, and they are the primary reason I stayed as long as I did. Beyond my own department, it was clear how much effort the operation teams put in. Many employees genuinely care about their work and each other, and that sense of camaraderie is real and meaningful.

Cons

Leadership, particularly at the executive level, is deeply disconnected from the reality of the company. While middle management and direct supervisors were generally strong, decisions from the C-suite consistently undermined morale, sustainability, and employee retention. There is a noticeable lack of listening to employee feedback, and many strategic decisions appear driven by ego rather than operational reality. Teams are chronically understaffed and overextended, with little reprieve or long-term planning. Resources are heavily funneled into sales, while manufacturing, quality, and operational teams struggle to keep up. Selling more product without adequately supporting the teams responsible for producing and maintaining quality creates ongoing strain and burnout. Compensation growth is extremely limited. There have been no meaningful raises or incentives for most employees in years, while leadership continues to expand at the director and executive level. This disparity is highly visible to employees and is damaging to morale. Advancement often feels political rather than performance-based. Overall morale is low, and many employees are actively seeking other opportunities. In my experience, there is a widespread sense of exhaustion and a lack of confidence in the company’s direction.

Pros

Free products sometimes and that’s where it ends. Ok the upside the paper based nature of the company and how much work will get funneled to you allow you to learn so much and retain everything you learn in order to progress into another job that will pay you 2-3x in the future. Glass of acid half full look at working at PRL

Cons

Healthcare cost is high for size of the company. PRL doesn’t pay for the healthcare of their employees compared to other 100-200 people sized companies…ironic how expensive the worst insurance is when the company is all about “health”. PRL lifers would say “well you shouldn’t have to worry about healthcare if you are healthy” and smile. This mentality runs unchecked and very frustrated. Management has no care for the employees. Everyone walks on eggshells while being overworked and underpaid and god help you if you complain or let out a heavy sigh because you will be labeled as negative and then put on PIP and fired. HR has always been a two faced snake as well as all of management who only look after themselves and will quickly push blame on their direct reports and others. Money is thrown around from the top while employees starve for a better life, equal opportunity and upward mobility. Raises in literal “cents” is the norm for a raise. Overall disgusting culture all of the above creates so even friends can become enemies once they start looking after themselves only (just like management). There is no ‘team’ or culture. If you don’t believe me go to one of the outside of work company events and see who shows up. It’s all the worst people and newbies. Everyone else knows better. Everyone knows how bad the work environment is and walks around defeated but if you can fake a smile, do everyone else’s work and your own and don’t crack then you might have what it takes to get a small pay bump into management that’s significantly under the market for that position and drink the koolaid but you will never be happy. You either learn to live with yourself, do the bare minimum and delegate all your work to others or you will have a mental break down and quit. PRL is a fan of not paying into your unemployment and will make your life miserable to force you to quit. Come to PRL and become the worst version of yourself. The other thing is the QRA junk science: they use this to sell products instead of promoting the quality and efficacy of their products. I’m surprised they don’t sell crystals if they haven’t started already. PRL uses the QRA method to tell customers which products and how many to buy and how often to ingest the products. It’s a predatory practice they use to sell products to dumb people. Once you realize this you’ll become equally disgusted and defeated as everyone else is that has a heart.
