Don't Trust RMs or VP

Pros

Hostile workplace that is probably not for you

Cons

It's a shame that the VP promotes unqualified people into new positions without offering others to apply. Many PM's get passed over for a promotion for someone who has never even opened a file. Its unfair that the VP takes the word of one RM over all others, when she is the first one to take a resident home with her. Then gets that resident a job working for her. When move ins happen in the wrong way just to push numbers in the right direction and they get caught the same pair sweep the wrong doings under the rug and move on. I have worked for a few management companies and I have never seen a group of RMs who disliked each other and talked behind each others backs as I have experienced here. There is a group of favorites and if you are not one then you mean nothing to the company and it's future. I promise you.

Pros

Owners have great hearts and mean well

Cons

It’s sad when PM’s get calls to give great reviews because the corporate office is scared after someone tells the truth online about how degrading, humiliating, disrespectful the corporate office is. There have been some very questionable ethical decisions made by PMI employees at the direction of the corporate office. When those decisions were discovered they were hidden from the owners and swept under the rug. To bad really this company has leadership that is going to destroy 3 very good hearted men.

Hard Nosed Management

Pros

None. Other than they offered required training, and health benefits.

Cons

Too many unhappy employees. If you do not "KISS UP" you will be automatically viewed as a problem employee. The property I worked at was sold by prior owner and my decision to stay with Preservation Management was a huge mistake on my part. My immediate manager was a total Jerk and we did not like each other!

Preservation Management Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We regret that you did not have a smooth transition to Team PMI. When properties transition to new ownership/management, it's a stressful change for both the team on property and the corporate office. To the extent folks are scared to speak their minds, we have an open door policy at PMI so my hope is that their concerns would continue to escalate until there is a resolution satisfactory to everyone. If you would like to discuss your concerns any further, please contact our HR department.
